Who am I?

My name is Dante Verbauwhede, which was for the most part the reason for choosing Dantev as my artist name. It's a lot shorter than my full name and the v is needed to distinguish me from Mr Alighieri.

I'm a 23 year old Belgian illustrator & painter from Ghent.
Besides painting and drawing, I also like playing video games and going to (rock) concerts. And, I love lasagna! It's the best thing I've ever had, it never ceases to amaze me

1998

I was born on a sunday

Not that it matters, but now you know. I don't have any statistics to back me up, but there's a rumour that all the cool kids were born on a Sunday

I stopped drawing

At school I didn't draw that much anymore and around the age of 17 I almost stopped completely because of all the schoolwork and other things I was doing.

The renaissance

During my second year at college, I started drawing (digitally) again because of my studies Devine at Howest. I also created an artsy Instagram account by drawing some things over Donald Trump's head and some other crazy in the coconut members of state. Look it up, it's still there.

The lure of paint

In January, after almost 8 years, I picked up painting again and boy oh boy did I enjoy it. Around the same time I also started my business and here we are.
